The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The services point developed for intervention ordeals a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA SRD will mobilise more methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and increase entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
